Terms of Use
Effective 21 October 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Obiara (obiara.com), the maker of Fit-Start ("Fit-Start", "we", "us"), about your use of the Fit-Start app for iPhone and Apple Watch and fit-start.ai (together, the "Service"). By creating an account, continuing as a guest, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use Fit-Start. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data and forms part of these terms.
Who can use Fit-Start
You must be at least 13 years old to use Fit-Start. If you are under 18, you may use it only with the permission of a parent or guardian who agrees to these terms on your behalf. You must give accurate information when you create an account, keep your password to yourself, and tell us at hello@fit-start.ai if you think someone else has used it. One account is for one person.
What Fit-Start does
Fit-Start locks apps you choose on your phone until you have completed the workouts on your schedule, verifies exercises with your camera if you ask it to, and gives you a community to share progress in.
App locking. Locking is done with Apple's Screen Time and Family Controls features, which you turn on and can turn off in your phone's Settings at any time. You decide which apps to lock and what schedule to follow. Fit-Start itself is never locked. Because the shield is enforced by your phone, we cannot remove it remotely; if you are ever unable to unlock your apps, the Help section of the app explains how to clear a shield. We are not responsible for anything you miss while apps you chose to lock were locked.
Exercise verification. Camera verification counts reps by analysing your movement on your phone. It is a convenience, not a measurement device, and it can miscount. You can always count by hand instead. If you opt in to help improve the AI, you grant Fit-Start a worldwide, royalty-free licence to use the skeleton data described in the Privacy Policy to train, test and improve its models; you can withdraw at any time under Settings, which stops further collection, and you can ask for what was collected to be deleted.
Exercise itself. Fit-Start provides general fitness routines. It is not medical advice and is not a substitute for a doctor, physiotherapist or trainer. Check with a doctor before starting any exercise programme, especially if you have a health condition, are pregnant, or have not exercised in a while. Stop immediately if you feel pain, faintness or shortness of breath. You exercise at your own risk, and you are responsible for using proper form, appropriate space and equipment, and your own judgement.
Heart rate and readiness. The heart rate, zones, recovery and readiness score Fit-Start shows are made from readings your Apple Watch and Apple Health provide. They are estimates for general fitness, not medical measurements, and the readiness score is a guide to training, not a diagnosis. Do not use them to detect, diagnose or treat any condition, and talk to a doctor about anything in your readings that worries you.
Free trial and subscriptions
Fit-Start is a paid service with two auto-renewing monthly plans, Basic and Premium; what each includes and its price in your currency are shown in the app before you buy. New accounts may take one free week, which includes one routine, one locked app and a daily schedule; a trial is offered once per account and once per phone, and cannot be started again by creating another account. A guest session also lasts seven days.
After that, using Fit-Start requires a subscription, bought through Apple's App Store under Apple's terms. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before it ends. You cancel in your Apple ID's subscription settings, not in the app; cancelling keeps your access until the end of the period you have paid for. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and may change for future periods with notice. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies; we cannot issue them ourselves.
If your subscription ends and is not renewed, your account is kept but the app is limited to the subscription page and the Help section until a plan is chosen. Your history, streak and photos remain and are available again once you subscribe.
Your content
You keep ownership of what you post: your photos, videos, captions, comments and sounds. By posting, you give Fit-Start a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display and distribute that content within the Service so that it can be shown to the people you have chosen to share it with, for as long as it remains on Fit-Start. You are responsible for having the right to share what you post, including any music or sound.
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You may not post content that is illegal; that harasses, threatens or demeans anyone; that is sexually explicit; that shows or encourages self-harm or dangerous behaviour; that infringes someone else's rights; that impersonates another person; or that is spam or advertising. We may remove content and suspend or close accounts that break these rules, with or without notice. You can block any account, and report any post, comment or account from its menu or through the Help section. We review reports within 24 hours and remove content and accounts that break these rules.
Using the Service properly
You agree not to interfere with the Service or other people's use of it; not to try to get around app locking, trial limits or subscription checks; not to copy, scrape, reverse-engineer or resell any part of Fit-Start; not to access it with automated tools; and not to use it for anything unlawful.
Fit-Start's property
The app, its routines, animations, designs, text and software belong to Fit-Start or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. These terms give you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on Apple devices you own or control, under Apple's App Store terms, and nothing more.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using Fit-Start at any time and ask us to delete your account at hello@fit-start.ai. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or if we stop offering the Service, and we will tell you when we reasonably can. Sections of these terms that by their nature should survive, including those about your content, our property, disclaimers and limits on liability, continue after the agreement ends.
No warranties
Fit-Start is provided as it is and as it is available. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for any particular purpose, that rep counting will be accurate, or that app locking will never fail.
Limits on our liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, Fit-Start will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, for injury arising from exercise you choose to do, or for anything you miss while apps you chose to lock were locked. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose. Some jurisdictions do not allow some of these limits, in which case they apply only as far as the law permits. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Apple
These terms are between you and Fit-Start, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app, is not responsible for any claim relating to it, and is a third-party beneficiary of these terms with the right to enforce them against you. You confirm that you are not in a country under a United States embargo and are not on any United States list of prohibited parties.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will tell you in the app or by email before it takes effect, and continuing to use Fit-Start after that means you accept the new terms. The current version is always available at fit-start.ai/terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which Fit-Start's operator is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute that cannot be settled between us will be brought in the courts of that state, and you agree to their jurisdiction, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it elsewhere.
